| Note | An elegant super hyper-glazed darker specimen that exhibits outstanding elongate form with a striking display of robust patterning, accentuated by remarkable lateral wall spotting. A wondrous black/brown caramel fused mottled dorsal pattern with intense integrated maculae with a thick glossy nacre. The intense spotting on the lateral walls is typical for the highly collectable specimens from this locale. The thick anterior and posterior margins show moderate tuberculation. The perfect dark/clay brown infused base colors complement the flawless margins, nearly perfect dorsum and the moderate size/weight ratio (61.0 mg). Diver Scuba collected off Orleans Bay, Esperance, Western Australia while feeding on sponges nested on a reef at 8-12 meters in 3/2022. The anterior extremity has a subtle mini-dorsal glazed inclusion on the anterior ramp just above the siphon and subtle blemishes on the base. Grade: GEM minus. |
