| Note | Sublittoral specimen from the shark infested South African waters showing calloused margins, lovely finely mottled dorsal pattern and deep nacre gloss. Moderately inflated, a pristine example of this endemic classic. The specimen features aperture strong teeth, calloused margins, perfect extremities and a mellow yellow base. Collected by Scuba diver off Cape Town, South Africa in 2016 while roaming over rocks near soft sponges at 10-15 meters. The shell has a small transverse wobble on the columellar posterior margin. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
