| Note | Superb specimen with a remarkable dark black pigmented veil draping over an exquisite deep red color. The specimen has a porcelain white base, perfect extremities and an impressive rich nacre lustre and radiance. Heavy and solid shell with a strong weight/size ratio (84.0g). The funebralis was taken by Scuba diver during night dive on hard reef at 18-25 meters off Hurghada, Egypt, Red Sea in 2022. The specimen exhibits minor subnacre blemishes mid-dorsum. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
