| Note | Super enormous beauty from the western Pacific. The shell features classic talpa golden brown banding on a sparkling dorsum nacre, The talpa displays high raised pitch black margins with transitioning to light brown lateral walls. The shell features pitch black extremities, perfect siphons and a clean, high gloss brown/black base. There are some subtle color gradient lines on the dorsum, but no growth folds. Taken by local fisherman at 20-25 meters off Nha Trang, Viet Nam in 2016. The specimen has one light fold on the mid-labral lateral wall, a subnacre "tattoo'' on the labral dorsum (not considered a defect) and a mini-blister on the labral anterior extremity tip. Grade: F+++. |
