| Note | Impressive, solid, hyper-glazed specimen that glistens like fine crystal.The deltoid deluxe Trona is characterized by a modest dorsal hump and depressed morphology. The shell shows a strong weight/size ratio (60.0 grams) and ultra thick strong calloused and flanged margins. The specimen features a heavily glossed base and presents extremities with a lifetime of complex repairs of the anterior tips . Nonetheless, it is undeniably a true beauty among deltoidal specimens in spite of the war scars. Collected by Scuba diver at 3-5 meters between rock crevices off Rufisque, Senegal, West Africa in 2024. The Trona displays a series of typical combat wounds, on the entire mid-dorsum hump and anterior extremity that are all enclosed and sealed with a thick glossy nacre. Grade: F++. |
