| Note | Wonderfully-pigmented, elongate and ultra-glazed specimen with rich black/chocolate hues enveloping the entire dorsum, lateral walls and extremities. These colors produce a beautiful veil over the dorsal blotching and lateral wall spotting. The anterior and posterior margins are thick and exceptionally tuberculated. Strong rostration of both extremities with a super glossy and thick nacre. Moderately heavy shell, a real sleek beauty. The shell was Scuba diver harvested at 12-14 meters inside reef caves ledges nestled in sponges west of Garden Island, south of Perth, Western Australia in 2002. The specimen by inspection and palpation reveals only subtle blemishes. Grade: GEM minus. |
