| Note | Dark blotched, mature, dark patterned and richly nacred deep water, hard to find jeaniana classic. Superior dorsal blotch/spotting, tan/peach/brown highlighted extremities and intense lateral wall spotting on apricot/beige lateral walls hallmark this elegant, moderately rostrated specimen with perfect extremities and base. An outstanding specimen with impressive gloss and shades of russet/chocolate brown caressing the flawless base. Taken in deeper water by Scuba diver off False Entrance, Shark Bay, Western Australia at 30 meters while on dining on a geodia sponge in 2018. There's present a subnacre/micro sand grain inclusion on the anterior ramp. Grade: GEM minus. |
