F+++. Corculum cardissa f. impressum is easy to recognize because of a ring of interrupted red flecks all around the periphery of the shell. Usually impressum is white colored, but in total we handled 225 pieces, of which one has an orange base color, 25 shells are yellow, 2 are pink and 198 shells are WHITE. The time frame for these numbers is 10 years and the total number of Corculum cardissa was 1355. So, the yellow impressum are good for 11 % of the “impressum” shells. Among these, we got 2 truly spectacular pieces of which the red is very pronounced. This is one of these. HYPOTYPE in the twin books: 1000 Shells, exceptionals from the Philippines.
