Note | One very nice and selected specimen of Fissurella cumingi. Large Fissurella species are actively collected by fishermen, so they often have nicks and damages on the border of the lip, and they are always found with scurria scars on the shells. This particular specimen has a nice lip with very small chips, and a natural, lightly cleaned dorsum which is still covered with calcareous algae, as can be seen in the images. This algae can be removed with some patience. A low initial price for a very nice specimen of Fissurella cumingi with an attached Scurria parasitica. |
