| Note | One very nice specimen of Chama pellucida, a rare sessile bivalve which is found in rocky areas in northern Chile, from the southern end of its distribution. This is the only Chama species found in Chile, and it is found only in certain areas of northern Chile. This specimen was collected washed ashore fresh dead, and it is in very good condition for the species. This specimen was carefully cleaned, but can be cleaned further. A very low price for a hard to obtain bivalve from the southeastern Pacific. |
