| Note | BLAAAAAAACK!!!! Giant with 124mm , super rare size and masterpiece conditions. The biggest of all offered here with superb black thick color form!! Elevated body form with intact thick branched spines all around. Extra thick colossal and heavy Giant masterpiece. Black spotted inner lip combined with the best spiny outer lip. Intact spire with the most seldom seen complete apex , extremely rare at this giant sizes. The best Huge BLACK color for ever! M. ambiguus combined with a M. nigritus body form. SPECIAL FORM - SPINES!! There is such an immense variability in these specimens with 3 species that are probably so distant from each other but with mixtures between them in a population of hundreds of individuals such as this population in Barra de Navidad that may present individuals with similarities of M.ambiguus, nigritus and radix. There are many studies of this but contradictions always abound, this is the clearest example for Mexico that I have seen in this variable population. From the shape to the amount of varices that determine some rules in the studies but even so they are disproved when specimens contain some clear differences with studies in Peru and others in Mexico. Exquisite and unique fresh black shiny color with the best spire and spines all around. High selected rare specimens for this special auction, choose your favorite.
