| Note | An impressive large Conus bengalensis which is unusual in three ways: the shell has a very fine tent pattern. The pattern near the siphonal canal is exceptionally dark. The shell is unusually broad on it’s base with a wide aperture. Small growth line on lower base, not harming the beauty. Unusual Conus bengalensis are rare: most shells resemble other shells, so this piece will attract attention of your fellow Conus experts. It’s a shell worth being figured in books and it’s worth a famous museum. We join a normal piece and a young shell. Young shells are also uncommon, they glide through the nets. This fine bengalensis was an excellent catch, and it’s unique. Delivery including the two extra pieces.
