| Note | Classic stricklandi ROV collected from a sponge in 65 metres of water west of the Muiron Islands off Exmouth Gulf. Attractive shell with a creamy dorsum heavily covered in tan speckles, apricot base and apricot sides with brown spots. A new Zoila discovered by ROV in 2014.
Stricklandi were available in greater number in the past but this is no longer the case with few if any being collected in recent years.
I am aware that at times there are specimens available from other dealers at lower pricing. These are good buying as they cannot be replaced once sold. In my opinion these shells are bargains. This particular specimen is graded Gem-/Gem due to a tiny crease above the anterior siphon. |
