Crabbed specimen ROV collected from silty sand in 218 metres of water west of Leeman during February 2023. This is the first time we ran into very pales specimens of this species. At this location we found both typical colored specimens and this pale form. This is as far south that we have seen gerondiosi. They are also smaller that those found farther north. This shell has a large chip in it's lip probably the result of a close encounter with a champagne crab.
