The real masterpiece Gem with Museum conditions. Incredible size with 42mm wide x 39mm high. This is a bivalve mollusk that is a member of the Carditidae Family of Little Hearts. They are also known as the Thick-ribbed Cardita. The shell has a rounded rectangular profile and is plump and equivalve (both valves equal in size and shape). The exterior displays a dozen or more wide radial ribs, which terminate in a squared-off scalloping at the margin. The exterior of the shell is impressive strong pink-brown with white and brown blotches and the interior is white. CARDITIDAE - Cardita crassicostata (Sowerby, 1825). Found attached between stones with mud about 8-10m deep. Cuastecomates, Jalisco, Mexico. March 2025. Value for the best sculpture and pattern you can get in Museum quality: 50-60 euro.
