Fossil Austroharpa collected from a road gravel pit near Madura in Western Australia. Taken from the Roe Calcarenite which is a highly fossiliferous white soft friable limestone that is located to the north of the Great Australian Bight in the eastern portion of Western Australia. The fossil is approximately 1.9 million years old and has a geological age of Late Pliocene. The specimen offered is of exceptional quality the result of many days digging with only the best specimens being retained and the vast bulk of specimens found being discarded as sub standard. This is the rarest of the three species of Austroharpa found in the Roe Plains fossil beds. It is now extinct. Very Select Specimen !!!
