NoteThis form of ketyana we find in the same area as we collect praeclara off the southern Zuytdorp Cliffs. They are consistently very small pretty shells with basal colours varying from orange like lutea to burnt orange like type ketyana. Described as a ketyana variant by Felix Lorenz and Marco Chiapponi in the last few months. This crabbed specimen was ROV collected from 76 metres of water during May 2024 at the Zuytdorp Cliffs in Western Australia. It is a gorgeous narrow shell with sparse fine dorsal pepper spot and vibrant gold orange basal trim. It has some nacre damage and a chip to the posterior siphon. Recently described in the latest publication by Conch Books. Little Cutie !!!
