| Note | Here is a SUPERB BLUE example of this highly variable form of friendii from the shallows of Geographe Bay. A VIBRANT BLUE background colour is scarcely covered with soft, small brown spots which still allow for the strong BLUE+WHITE pattern to be displayed wonderfully! Gem- with a couple of very tiny marks on the dorsum near the posterior end but no chips or bad growth lines. Live taken on yellow encrusting sponge on the underside of a limestone rock at 7m.
