Zoila friendii vercoi - Large Shell !!! , F. A. Schilder, 1930
Size
86.4 mm
Locality
Albany, WA
Note
Vercoi collected inside King George Sound at Albany are highly prized because they are large dark shells with very wide apertures with bluish dorsa. This large attractive specimen was collected by a diver from a cave in 18 metres of water at Michaelmas Reef in King George Sound in Albany, Western Australia. The dorsum is covered in large brown blotches with a hint of blue poking through and a chocolate brown base. Both siphons are perfect and is graded Fine+++/Gem- due to a hint of soft growth issues. From an old collection. Few are now collected.
