NoteA nice shell in hand with dark sides and siphons and a lighter top consisting of a blue background and mottled brown spots. The specimen was collected by a local diver from 12 metres of water on a sponge among sea grass at Edithburgh in South Australia. Graded Fine+++ due to some silt inclusion to the dorsum. The species is now collected in very limited number with a bag limit of one specimen per day. This legislation was introduced to protect the species as populations were dwindling due to over collection and environmental change. From an old collection.
