| Note | Splendid specimen. The shell shows a heavy, mature, and inflated deep nacred dorsum with strong shades of blood/cherry red (52.9 grams). The shell exhibits excellent nacre gloss and a deep luscious ruby red base. The shell was collected by local divers off Bungin Sumbawa Island, Indonesia at 8 meters in 2016. The specimen has several small algae spots on the dorsum (view images), a glazed self-repaired area on the anterior extremity and a mini-nick on posterior labral aperture. Grade: F++/F+++. |
