| Note | Nice specimen of this subspecies taken from the Sea of Cortez. Excellent axial spotting, significant gloss, mild hued lavender aperture, dark spiral and axial patching dorsally. The specimen features a perfect spire, excellent body whorl gloss with a thick clean natural lip. Collected by Paul Kanner on sand at night at low tide off Gonzaga Bay, Baja California, Mexico in 4/1998. The shell shows protoconch erosion and a mini-chip of the posterior lip. Grade: F+++. |
