| Note | Juvenile, barely a kindergarten specimen with foliaceous varices with long recurved foliated spines. The specimen is superb, as smaller specimens of better quality are desirable, uncommon and this one is certainly one of them. Classic white hue with three rows of varices and a high upturned angle of curves on the spine terminals. Light/dark brown tinted costae and strirae combing for an interesting body whorl pattern Taken by tangle net at 80-100 meters off Punta Engaño, Mactan Island, Cebu, Philippines in 2004. The specimen has a worn protoconch and minor chips of the siphonal canal. Grade: F+++. |
