Note | Robust and splendid rare colored specimen with strongly curved spines and pronounced axial cording. The shell shows an intact apex, spire and no growth folds on the body whorl. Four backswept varix rows, a uniform tan/light brown body whorl accentuated by pastel brown inside the elongate spines, Moderate weight/size ratio and perfect aperture lip complement the appeal of this shell. The shell was collected at extreme low tide in rubble under a ledge off Roebuck Bay, Western Australia circa 2005. The shell shows minor chipping on the siphonal canal terminus and close examination reveals minor shallow chipping of the anterior siphon edges.. Grade: F+++. |
