| Note | Exceptional specimen with violet/purple rami and strong/prominent multicolored axial ribs. The symmetry of the erect structures on the leading and trailing axial structures is typical. The specimen displays a perfect spire, aperture lip and siphonal canal. Located and plucked from the side of bolder at night at 6 meters off Taiohae Bay, Nuka Hiva, Marquesas in 11/2003 by Scuba diver Paul Kanner. The specimen demonstrates minor erosion of the protoconch. Grade:F+++/GEM minus. |
