| Note | Solid, glassy nacred example of a highly collectable anatomically superb guttata subspecies. Marvelous and anatomically wide form with prominent teeth and ribbing (stripes) complementing the extremities and light camel brown margins. Heavy for its size (18.5 grams), its a standout surinensis that shows an excellent dispersion and balanced array of diffuse smaller dorsal white spots. The ascending dark ribs provide a beautiful anatomical contrast. Captured by trawler at 80-120 meters off Racha Islands, Phuket, Thailand on rock/sponge substrate in 3/2018. The shell exhibits a mini-chip in the columellar extremity tip. Grade: F+++. |
