| Note | Newly named NIGER & ROSTRATED shell - Monetaria caputdraconis forma darkini, named after me. Gerontic dark color shell with super developed anterior terminal and base. Shell was live collected in shallow surgy ground in Tongariki area, 2024. Shell is not very shiny with some blisters on the base due to age and very harsh living conditions - hard to rate the quality. I would rate it as F++. It is simply unique shell - one of 22 known, including 1 fossil. All shells were gathered during my 8 trips (total time spent on the Island nearly half of the year) to Easter Island since 2004. 3 shells were settled in Museums and 3 in private collections.
