| Note | One interesting specimen of Fissurella limbata. Large specimens of Fissurella limbata are ALWAYS covered with Scurria scars (at least one in each specimen). They are rather rare and difficult to obtain. This species, as all the other large Fissurella species, is actively collected by fishermen so they often have nicks, chips, and damage on the border of the lip. This particular specimen has very nice border of the lip, with only some tiny chips, and the dorsum is in natural condition, covered with red algae. A very low initial price for an interesting limpet from the southeastern Pacific. |
