| Note | One very nice and selected specimen of Fissurella cumingi. Large Fissurella species are actively collected by fishermen, so they often have nicks and damages on the border of the lip, and they are always found with scurria scars on the shells. This particular specimen has a nice lip with a few tiny chips, with narrow margins, and a natural, lightly cleaned dorsum (it still has some calcareous algae) which can be oiled further to show the colors better, although it already shows the pattern of rays like a scottish tartan. A low initial price for a very nice specimen of Fissurella cumingi. |
