| Note | Here is a GIGANTIC sized example of thsi rare species. At WAY BEYOND the ~120mm size which would be considered a "large" specimen; this BEHEMOTH towers all other example of same species. EXTREMELY HIGH QUALITY for this shell which can often have bad worn areas or growth flaws but this is as good as I have seen with a perfect spire and barely a flaw to be seen. Classic PALE FAWN background with DARK CHOCOLATE coloured stripes running across the shell make for a highly attractive specimen! Superb Gem- condition for this shell with just some very minor flaws on the shell but very hard to see. Collected on silty reef in high current area at 12-15m at night off Crib Point, Westernport Bay, Victoria, 2023. *White marks are from camera reflection. Please ask about further images* |
