| Note | Brilliant display of color, banding and china white tenting characterize this beautiful cone from the Andaman Sea. The overall visual impact of the specimen is admirable. The combination of form, balance of color and quality is hard to match. The central band is composed of a unique tightly grouped array of elegant and well distributed white tents, giving it classic appeal for the avid collector. The specimen has a seamless thick natural lip, spire, slight erosion of the protoconch, and negligible body whorl folds with minor insignificant blemishes. The shell was trapped by trawler at 100-120 meters offshore from Phuket Island, Thailand in 2002. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
