Note | Wonderfully decorated specimen with a distinct reticulated, semi-tented rectangular pattern that defines this uncommon eastern Pacific cone. The shell shows a modest nacre gloss, perfect apex and spire. The shell was collected by the late/great Scuba diver Paul Kanner in sand at the north end of Isabela Island, Galápagos Islands, Equador at 9-10 meters in 4/1987. The shell demonstrates a diagonal growth fold on the dorsum, deep growth disruption fold on the lateral body whorl and small chip at the anal notch. Grade: F+/F++. |
