| Note | Attractive and superbly dark pigmented example of this North Pacific cold-water subspecies. The gorgeous specimen shows an intact spire, body whorl, aperture lip and siphonal canal. Beautiful banding pattern that radiates off the body whorl to the wings as shown in the images with elegant form and ruffling of the backswept varices. Collected by Scuba diver at 15 meters while feeding on an oyster bed at Posiet Bay, south of Vladivostok, Russia, Sea of Japan. The specimen is in excellent condition, perhaps some minuscule imperfections and a worn protoconch. Grade: F+++/ GEM. |
