| Note | Large, wonderful elongate specimen with sparse body whorl dark brown/sienna banding colors while showing yellowish/cream white varices. The foliatum has excellent morphology, moderate weight/size ratio, perfect siphonal canal and aperture lip. The specimen is in remarkable condition for the species considering the challenging ocean conditions of the intertidal zone. Collected on exposed rocks at minus low tide, at Neah Bay, Makkaw County, Washington in 7/1987. The shell shows minor attrition of the apex and pitting of the spire and the dorsal varix.. Grade: F++/F+++. |
