| Note | Impressive standout pattern with intense thick dark longitudinal undulating/zigzagging stripes. This volute is a unique large beauty and 0.8 mm short of the WRS at 114.0 mm. The specimen shows excellent aperture gloss, intact spire without any growth folds on the main body whorl. Taken by trawling at 75-100 meters on rock/sponge substrate off Kollam, Kerala, India in 8/2024. The shell exhibits a slight shallow chipping along the natural lip as seen in images. Grade: F+++. |
