NoteAlso known as Cominella torri (Hedley 1909), a mellow orange banded example of this hard to get species. The shell shows intense axial sculpture with strong longitudinally aligned circumferential valle on the spire and displays remarkable spotting on the axial cords on the anterior dorsal body whorl. The specimen was taken by Scuba diver Peter Clarkson in 10/2008 on sand and rubble during a night dive off Esperance, Western Australia. The shell is in excellent condition for a shell that is Dead Collected. The specimen comes with the original data slip. Grade: Pretty Good.
