| Note | Excellent sandstone orange dorsum, clean dorsal line and super thick nacre highlight this unique subspecies. The specimen shows sharp ribbed margins, flawless extremities and subdued base pattern. Strong array of dorsal spotting is uncommon for the subspecies, but this specimen delivers. The specimen trawled at 120 meters off Peng Chia Yu Island, northeast of Taiwan, East China Sea in 12/2016. The shell displays negligible subnacre blemishes on the base. Grade: GEM minus. |
