Note | Classic glossy nacre, large, and moderately inflated and heavy armenica with a charming vast and dorsal mottling and a perfectly placed distinctive dorsal spot (116.0 grams). The specimen displays thick rounded margins, with moderate to intense shades of pastel orange/flesh tones and strong tangerine hues highlighted by a marvelous nacre gloss. The shell displays perfect and strong flesh-toned/burnt orange flawless extremities. This is an excellent collectors piece. Trawled at 145-165 meters on sand and rubble bottom in the Great Australian Bight, off Ceduna, South Australia in 1998. The shell is difficult to flaw. Grade: GEM. |
