| Note | Splendid, golden colored and richly nacred deep water, hard to find more unusual version of the moderately rare species. Diffuse, clearly demarcated dorsal blotching and mottling, light apricot/peach/light brown hued margins with sparse lateral wall spots highlight this moderately rostrated specimen. The shell shows modest tuberculation of the rounded margins and perfect apricot/beige pigmented base. An outstanding specimen with superb pigmentation and brilliant markings. ROV taken in deeper water off the Zuytdorp Cliffs, Western Australia at 90 meters on Geodia sponge in 2021. There are two barely noticeable subnacre repaired areas on the inside channel of the labral posterior extremity. Grade: F+++/GEM minus. |
