| Note | Heavily spotted lateral walls, mottled high gloss typical and half clouded dorsal pattern with thick calloused margins make this larger shell a collectable Trona. Hyper-glossy specimen, with a heavy weight/size ratio (112.8 grams), amazing glazed porcelain-like lateral walls and a unique dorsal color collage. This Atlantic Ocean beauty has a perfect base and aperture. Taken by free diver in shallow water (1-2 meters) off Pointe des Almadies, Dakar, Senegal, West Africa in 2023. The Trona displays a few subnacre blemishes on the extremity tips, faint growth lines on the anterior ramp and thickly glossed shallow concave repairs on the mid-dorsum. Grade: F++/F+++. |
