| Note | Outstanding hybrid specimen and a crossbreed between M. cervus and M. zebra. The shell shows a lush distribution of spotting and a deep glossy nacre. The outstanding bright white spots are tightly arranged and focused on the labial and columellar lateral walls with ocellated spots on the margins. The shell features a pronounced and wide dorsal line, strong hint of transverse banding with remarkable form, moderate rostration and strong color. Good size/weight ratio (79.7 grams) with excellent quality extremities. Collected by Scuba diver at 20-25 meters hiding out on a limestone reef off Destin, Florida circa 2012. There is a over-glazed wobble mid-dorsum on the dorsum. Grade: F+++. |
