| Note | Large, heavy and super-glazed nacre with an astounding color patters and "Off the Wall" columellar lateral wall spotting. The assorted china white maculae and the flowing mocha/beige brown extensions on the posterior labral lateral wall are amazing. Incredible shell, heavier than a rock (141.7 grams), double thick margins and an unreal color collage dorsally with a profound and rare wide-white dorsal line . The pigmentation and mottled pattern are one of a kind, with perfect extremities when viewed dorsally. This pattern is as unique as they come, a must for a "humpy" collector. Captured at night by Scuba diver Mike Magngum at 2-3 meters crawling the sidewall of a large rock formation in the crash zone off the Southeast Shore, Oahu, Hawaii in 6/2017. The humpy exhibits a few subnacre blemishes on the base and a glossed over subtle imperfections dorsally. Grade: F+++. |
