| Note | F+++/GEM. MUCH SOUGHT AFTER BY COLLECTORS: A CERVUS - BUT LARGE IN SIZE AND PARTICULARLY WELL PATTERNED. Wonderful piece for the Conologist and the connoisseurs of rare and magnificent excellent shells. Shells from over 105 mm are uncommon, in fine+++ or gem condition even rarer. The large majority offered online are either juvenile or repaired pieces. This shell has a nice pattern of three alternating dark bands bordered with even darker small bands. We quote the present cervus as fine+++, almost gem, as there are some hardly visible irregularities and speckling, not to be seen in typical contemplation, but to detect by close scrutiny and under enlargement. All in all a more than acceptable nice quality and pattern not to get tired from. Becoming increasingly rare. Beautiful, large specimens are now almost exclusively found in old collections.
