| Note | THE DARKEST OF ALL WOOOOW!! Seldom seen so dark specimens in this species with the best dense brownish with dark large spots. Special vivid pinkish color at the sides really unusual. Gem. Chione subimbricata are so hard to get outside the sand, so is almost impossible to get them live, if you don't dig, you won't find any of them. They love the mouths connected to the sea where the nutrients essential for their feeding flow. They also like the crystal clear waters between the reefs in some cases. But most of them are among granular sands near rocky areas. They can be under sand from 1cm to 15cm and extreme cases. They were found buried in sand between 5 and 10cm between rocky crevices at a depth of 3-5m.
