| Note | CARDITIDAE - Cardita affinis californica (Deshayes, 1854). WIDE ROBUST UNIQUE FORM WOOOW!! Seldom seen so wide form, usually this species are coming with elongated valves but this here is massive, colossal and short body shape with immense wideness. Dark dorsum with impressive white large unique and special scales. Hyper-gloss ventral valves with caramel dark elegant brownish colors, the real beauty. A few cases like this in this size, specimens are absent of scales and here you can admire the real scaled one!! A beauty of nature. Beautiful brownish colors. Just awesome piece ! Gem - F+++! Found attached and buried under stones about 6m deep. Barra de Navidad, Jalisco, Mexico. May 2024. Value for the most thick, wide and scaled dark masterpiece specimen: 16-18 euros.
