| Note | HIPPONICIDAE - Hipponix panamensis (C.B.Adams, 1852). Uncommon species to get fresh live! Very hard species to get in any conditions, almost impossible to remove from stones. This are most hard attached to the buried stones, and invisible for the eyes. Sometime currents make the appear between. Very mysterious species from the Pacific. Extremely thick lip with micro multiple scales around the outer lip, very callous thick inside the ventral middle part. On the dorsum side present Multiple layers overlapping each other to create a pyramid effect. Natural conditions specimen with the best sculpture and uniform shape. For advancer collectors. Uncommon species, seldom offer virtually. Found attached on top of buried stones about 4m deep , Near Isla Toriz, Melaque, Bahia de Navidad, Jalisco, Mexico. May 2025. MEXICO PACIFIC.
