Name | Cypraea fultoni amorimi - EXCEPTIONAL , Raybaudi, 1989 |
Size | 68.4 mm |

Note | All advanced collectors will know that very few specimens of the large, Mozambique fultoni are of superior quality, upon account of their deep-water, muddy, detritus-laden habitat. The current OUTSTANDING specimen is a rare exception. The highest possible quality for the species. Ultra-rich colour. Beautiful, elaborate, balanced dorsal pattern. Devoid of the typical inclusions to the dentition which detract from the majority of examples. Maintained under careful curation since the 1990s, with the appearance of being freshly collected. One of the FINEST fultoni of the JES Collection for the connoisseur. Data: Off Quissico, between Boa-Paz, and Ponta Zavora, Inhambane, Mozambique; upon sand/mud/detritus substrate; 100-150 m; trawled; 1993. Size: 68.4 mm. Grading: Gem. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne. |
