Name | Ericusa fulgetrum orca - VERY RARE; DEEP-WATER , Cotton, B.C., 1951 |
Size | 102.3 mm |

Note | A superb specimen of this rare, virtually never offered form. Described by Cotton as a distinct species, but now considered a form of fulgetrum, it is characterised by its markedly elongate, slender, elegant form; weak whorl periphery; and beautiful delicate PINK. Lacking in the majority of the world’s volute collections. Now obtainable only from the choicest old collections. A very rare opportunity for a Volutidae specialist to add this exceeedingly difficult to obtain form to their holdings. Data: Great Australian Bight, off Eucla, Goldfields-Esperance Region, Western Australia, Australia; upon sand substrate; 90-110 m; 1992. Size: 102.3 mm. Grading: Fine+++. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne. |
