| Note | For offer here is a SUPER RARE PATTERNED example of this ULTRA RARE deepwater form of Z.venusta. Typically these shells are almost alway a pure white/cream colour but this examples has an almost UNIFORM HONEY dotted pattern covering the entirety of the dorsum with a SUPER DEFINED MANTLE LINE running through the shell. The HIGH THICK MARGINS meet the pattern and extrude out to the EXTENDED,ROSTRATE CANALS. It is an EXCEPTIONALLY HEAVY shell which along with the very narrow aperture are key characteristics which separate this species from the shallow water, dived specimens. F+++/F++ condition with a fully reglazed fish bite above the posterior canal and some very minor algae blemishes across the dorsum. Live taken by trawlers working at 90-110m.
