| Note | Here is a great opportunity to acquire a RARELY OFFERED Notocypraea from the cold waters off the Southern end of Tasmania. The DARK GREY/PURPLE dorsum is covered with a UNIFORM SMATTERING of fine dots and surrounded with a rather THICKLY CALLOUSED MARGIN. ULTRA SMALL SIZE and easily the smallest specimen I have personally handled making me wonder if it is the smallest example of this species? A SUPERB TINY JEWEL which is missing from a large amount of collections. Gem- with just a single growth line on the dorsum being the only flaw that I can see. Live collected in host food sponge at 15-20m in the dark, high current flow area off North Bruny Island,D'Entrecasteaux Channel, Tasmania. January 2023 *White marks are from camera reflection.
